Parkway Sound Walls

Beginning March 1, 2010, VDOT will build two sound walls on the Fairfax County Parkway extension scheduled to be completed in the summer.  The 1,360 foot walls will be along Rolling Road on both sides of the Richfield Road entrance.

Expect some lane closures during this time.

The $117 million Fairfax County Parkway extension has been funded by the Virginia Department of Transportation, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and United States Army.  The Parkway will allow the 8,500 relocated employees to enter into the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC).
