I thought you all might be interested to hear that Cox Communications launched Cox WiFi to Northern Virginia subscribers on Wednesday, January 30, 2013!
Cox provides this new platform to access to internet in Northern Virginia with preferred, premier or ultimate tiers of service. If you are a Cox customer, you can gain access through 750 WiFi hotspots at no additional charge!
This allows customers to access the Internet from WiFi enables devices such as iPads, tablets, laptops and smart phones. How can you access it? Once you are in a Cox WiFi hotpots, find the list of available wireless networks on your device. Choose Cox WiFi and enter your Cox username and password. Once you’re authenticated, you will be able to browse the internet as you would from home.
These hotspots are located in Fairfax County and in popular, high traffic locations such as shopping districts, cafes, malls, restaurants and parks. To find your nearest hotspot, please visit http://www.cox.com/hotspots.
My legislative assistant, Cori, is extra happy about this because now she can use her new iPad on the go, without having to sign up for a cellular plan.
