I wanted to inform you that absentee ballot applications are available for those of you will not be able to come out and vote at the polls on Election Day (November 5, 2013). I am aware that some of the younger voters in our district will be returning to college, and others of you will not be able to cast your vote in person for other reasons. If you would like to vote via absentee ballot you must first apply to do so and have a ballot sent to your home.
Absentee ballot applications are accessible here in PDF format. You may also vote in person ahead of time if you cannot make it to the polls on Election Day. Absentee voting in-person begins September 20th at the Fairfax County Government Center and will be available on business days from 8am until 4:30pm. Starting September 28th Saturday voting will be available from 9am- 5pm and beginning October 15th, the hours will change to 8am- 7pm during the work week. The Fairfax Government Center will be the only in-person voting location until October 15th.
The Satellite offices around the county will open for voting October 15th and will operate from 3:30pm- 7pm on business days.
More information about voting in the coming election can be found here at http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/.
