June 30th will be the last day the DMV in Springfield Mall will be open. The new Lorton DMV is in Gunston Plaza, located at 7714 Gunston Plaza, Lorton, VA 22079. Starting on July 6, the new DMV will open for business. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturdays, 8 a.m. until noon.
The change of location will save the Department of Motor Vehicles approximately $100,000 a year due to decreases in rent and utilities.
